Ready for Texas
Automatically Generate and Email Completed TREC REI 7-6 Forms

In Texas, a mandatory form, REI 7-6, is provided by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), which mandates the form be completed for every home inspection performed.
Eneris provides a tool that makes it easy to automatically populate, generate, and maintain a copy of the TREC REI 7-6 PDF. This allows home inspectors to deliver high-quality reports while staying compliant and saving time.
Part 1
Schedule a New Inspection
Click New Inspection or Create Inspection while connected to the internet on a computer, phone, or tablet. Select Texas TREC REI 7-6 Template to enable the auto-filling of as much information as possible.
Navigate to the newly created report and perform the inspection as appropriate using the System-by-System, or Room-by-Room data entry mode.

When you're ready to generate a TREC REI 7-6 report, navigate to the General tab of the report and scroll down to find the Supplementary Reports dropdown button in the Append Custom Files box:
Part 2
Load Data From Main Report
Once on the TREC REI 7-6 page, click the + Load From Main Report button. This will transfer report data from the main report into the official TREC REI 7-6 PDF file.
Part 3
Review Information
After loading information from the main report, it is important to review the information and confirm that it has been entered to the satisfaction of the inspector and the standards of practice.

The tabs, Structural, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Appliances, and Optional Systems correspond to the major systems in the TREC REI 7-6 form.
Clicking on a tab (i.e. Structural) will display a list of items, which correspond to the items to be inspected within the system as prescribed by TREC. Clicking on an item (i.e. Roof Covering Materials) will expand the section, where autofilled text may be found as a result from Part 2 above.
Text entries can be modified without affecting the main report. As the TREC REI 7-6 form has a limited amount of space, long lines of text will shrink in font size on the final form. Therefore, we recommend keeping comments concise, and referring the client to the supplementing Eneris report whenever possible.

On the right-hand-side of each item, 4 buttons display I - Inspected, NI - Not Inspected, NP - Not Present, and D - Deficient. When loading data from the main report, Eneris will automatically transfer the selection from the main report's Marked As buttons to the equivalent TREC denotation for I, NI, NP.
Denotations of items D - Deficient must be done by the inspector. It is highly encouraged to expand each of the items within a system to double-check the report prior to sending it to your client.

If you only wish to deliver a TREC REI 7-6 Report in PDF format, the step of adding information to the Main Report first can be skipped.
Part 4
Generate PDF and Email To Clients
The final step is to Generate a PDF for review, and then email it to your client. The completed form can optionally be attached to the Main Report PDF via General -> + Append Files.
Click the Generate PDF button. This will open a new tab or window with the completed TREC REI 7-6 form.
Please Note: If a new tab or window does not open, please ensure you have allowed pop-ups for eneris.
The report can now be emailed to your client and anyone else who may need to view it by clicking the Share By Email button. It will automatically be added to the email as an attachment, and you will be CC'd for each email sent.
